Mighty Cocks Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Hullabaloo
|
Little Rock pitcher Erik Betances did his part in helping his team beat the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Mighty Cocks.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when first baseman Daniel Secundino, who is tied for 3rd in the UL in extra base hits with 41, drew a walk. The Mighty Cocks went on to win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Secundino, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
