|
Kalamazoo pitcher Jake Ronke did his part in helping his team beat the Little Rock Mighty Cocks, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Hullabaloo bumped their record to 52-42 with this latest triumph.
The Hullabaloo got a big at-bat from center fielder Alvaro Verdusco. For the game, Verdusco went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 19th home run of the season gave Kalamazoo a 4-3 lead.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ronke said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
