The Toledo Cheesepressers topped the Tucson Fighting Beetles, 5-2, in United League action at Kmart Park. The player of the game was Toledo pitcher Jordan Morales. Jason Hoose earned his 32nd save in 32 chances. Toledo now has a 3-game win streak.

The Cheesepressers beat the Fighting Beetles in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Xavier Gomez produced in the top of the fourth. Batting against Tucson pitcher Jose Villalobos, Gomez gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run double.

Gomez attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
