Waterspouts Nip Mighty Cocks, 5-4

The Honolulu Waterspouts beat the Little Rock Mighty Cocks, 5-4 at Durex Field, in part due to third baseman Bubba Miller, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Honolulu reliever Wally Borman, now 6-3. The loser was Ron Compton. Lorenzo Sierra converted his 26th save in 27 tries.
Miller had a game-changing single in the top of the seventh. On a 0-1 slider from Ron Compton, he banged a 2-run single to left, giving the Waterspouts a 5-4 lead. It was the 152nd hit of the year for Miller.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Little Rock manager Angelo Alvarez. "The effort was great."
Honolulu now has a 3-game win streak.
