Mighty Cocks Rally For Late Win Over Hullabaloo

Little Rock rode a fine outing from starter Jamar Roy to victory over the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo at Durex Field. The final score was 3-1. The first-place Mighty Cocks have won 5 straight games.
Had Jeremy Denard not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Denard hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Mighty Cocks.
In postgame comments to the Little Rock Daily, Denard said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
