The Toledo Cheesepressers got a stellar performance from pitcher Alonzo Galindo, who handcuffed the Tucson offense en route to a 3-1 win at Kmart Park. Jason Hoose got the save, his 33rd in 33 chances. The first-place Cheesepressers, at 60-35, now lead their division by 3½ games.

Early in the game, first baseman Rich LaBelle had a 3-run home run for Toledo. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Cheesepressers on top, 3-1.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Toledo manager Matt Perrone.
