Wildcats Win Thriller, 3-2
|
Savannah got a strong outing from Dave Coffin as the Wildcats defeated the New Haven Tempest, 3-2, at Haggar Pants Park. Savannah's record now stands at 42-59, placing them 4th in the United League East Division.
Matt Heddin was the walk-off hero for Savannah. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wildcats left fielder hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"We'll savor this win," Heddin told the Savannah Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
