Knights Clip Waterspouts in Tight Contest
|
The Havana Knights eked out a 5-4 win versus the Honolulu Waterspouts at Coconuts Park. Nobody did more than designated hitter Justin Plemons, who captured player of the game honors. Havana reliever Tony Fresquez picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Ryan Ball shouldered the loss. Honolulu now has a 6-game losing streak.
This game was not decided until late. With one out in the top of the ninth, Adam Flury hit a sacrifice fly. The Knights took the lead, 5-4.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario.
