Late Rally by Graybirds Secures Win
|
The Reno Graybirds went home winners at Harris Interactive Arena, thanks in large part to starter Matt Rose. Rose silenced the New Haven Tempest, enabling Reno to grab the 2-1 win. The Graybirds now have a mark of 45-53.
Had Isaiah Oliver not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Oliver hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Graybirds.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said New Haven skipper Brandon Eberle.
