Waterspouts Turn Back Wichita, 5-3
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts picked up a win at Propel Fitness Water Field, knocking off the Wichita Warlocks, 5-3. Starting pitcher Joel Taute was an essential part of his team's success. The Waterspouts raised their record to 8-3.
Tom Kerber, who is tied for 5th in the UL in total bases with 34, helped out the Honolulu cause in the top of the sixth inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the designated hitter went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling pretty confident after that win," said Taute.
