The Toledo Cheesepressers scored a 4-3 win versus the Honolulu Waterspouts at Coconuts Park. Toledo pitcher Jordan Morales nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. Morales, now 14-2, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 2, and allowing 2 earned runs. Jason Hoose nailed down his 36th save.
Had Jaden Edwards not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Edwards hit a 2-run home run. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Cheesepressers.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario, "let me know."
