Cheesepressers Solve Waterspouts, 4-2
|
Toledo Cheesepressers starter T.J. Street was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Honolulu Waterspouts, 4-2. Toledo reliever Pedro Rivera picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Alejandro Santos shouldered the loss. Alvin Biter was called on to finish, recording his 27th save.
The Cheesepressers got a big at-bat from pinch hitter Bob Hauser. For the game, Hauser was 1-1 with a double. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Toledo a 3-2 lead.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Street after the game.
Honolulu is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 10 in a row.
