Waterspouts Solve Hullabaloo, 6-3
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts picked up a win at Coconuts Park, knocking off the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo, 6-3. Starting pitcher Joel Taute, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. In 7.2 innings, Taute surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 0. He allowed 3 runs. David Anderson, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Honolulu took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases empty, Steve Casselman stroked a solo home run to make it 4-3, Waterspouts.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Taute said after the game.
Honolulu is now 61-56.
