Waterspouts Shut Out Running Rebels
|
Honolulu right-hander Seth Berry made an effective start against the Knoxville Running Rebels at Smith and Wesson Field, leading his team to a 7-0 win. In 7.2 innings, Berry surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Honolulu is now 64-46.
It could have been a different outcome for Honolulu, had it not been for Erik Carnes, the 27-year old center fielder . Carnes contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the third inning to put Honolulu up, 1-0.
"We looked pretty good up and down," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario.
