Isaiah Oliver did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Tucson Fighting Beetles from losing, 7-5, to the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo at Kmart Park. Oliver was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Kalamazoo starter Danny Levy was credited with the win after throwing 103 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. Jimmy Cady earned the save for Kalamazoo, his 5th of the year.
Kalamazoo shortstop Chris Hursh changed the complexion of the game in the top of the eighth inning. That's when he belted a 3-run home run off Brad Brennan. His 1st home run of the season put Kalamazoo in front, 7-5.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Hursh.
Kalamazoo goes to 9-3 with the win.
