The Toledo Cheesepressers wiggled past the Boise Idahosies, 4-3, at Best Western Dome. Toledo pitcher Marshall Pazar earned player of the game honors. Jim Samis finished the game for Toledo and earned his 2nd save. Toledo improves to 73-40 with the win. They lead their division by 7 games.
The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 12th inning. With two out, Xavier Gomez hit a first pitch forkball from Chris Matula for a run-scoring single. It put Toledo in front, 2-1.
"It feels good, just a great win all around," Gomez said after the game.
