Tempest Get 5-1 Win Versus Kalamazoo
|
The New Haven Tempest got a strong performance from pitcher Dan Hindes, who stymied the Kalamazoo offense en route to a 5-1 win at Flagship Field. Mike Perry closed it out for his 16th save. With the win, New Haven has a record of 61-52. Kalamazoo falls to 63-50.
Marcus Butts's at-bat in the bottom of the third inning was a big one for New Haven. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and New Haven trailing 1-0, the second baseman hit a sacrifice fly.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Butts.
