Toledo pitcher Michael Ponce did his part in helping his team beat the Wichita Warlocks, 2-0. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Wichita, at 2-10, is off to a dreadful start in 2026.

The Cheesepressers got a big at-bat from third baseman Jon Kilkenny. For the game, Kilkenny went 1-3 with 2 walks. In the top of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 9th hit of the season gave Toledo a 1-0 lead.

"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Chris Lopresti.
