Waterspouts Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Platoon
Labatt Blue Field was the site of a competitive game between the Saskatoon Platoon and Honolulu Waterspouts.

The Waterspouts had to overcome a fine performance from Saskatoon pitcher Juan Martinez to grab a 4-3 win at Labatt Blue Field. Martinez allowed 2 earned runs over 6.1 innings. Honolulu is first in the United League West Division with a record of 67-48.

One significant at-bat for Honolulu came with a runner on 2nd in the top of the ninth. Waterspouts second baseman David Soberano drew a walk, which helped Honolulu go on to win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario.
