Honolulu rode a decent outing from starter Zhen-ying Chen to victory over the Saskatoon Platoon at Labatt Blue Field. The final score was 5-4. Honolulu reliever Billy Ochoa was credited with the win, to go to 4-4. Jamie Schmidt took the loss for Saskatoon. The Waterspouts saw their record improve to 68-49.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Erik Carnes, hit a triple. It helped Honolulu seize the win.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Carnes.
