Graybirds Roll Over Waterspouts, 13-4
|
Craaig Broom was instrumental in his team's 13-4 triumph over the Honolulu Waterspouts. The shortstop was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Reno Graybirds. At 51-67, the Graybirds are currently last in the United League West Division.
Broom had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Graybirds went on to win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Broom said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
