Honolulu got a strong outing from John Barnhill as the Waterspouts defeated the Reno Graybirds, 5-1, at Harris Interactive Arena. The winning pitcher was Barnhill, now 3-1. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. The third-place Graybirds have lost 5 consecutive games.

Ben Johnson put Honolulu in front, 4-0, when he hit a 3-run home run off Matt Rose in the top of the fourth. It was his 3rd home run of the season.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Barnhill told reporters after the game.
