Mannino Excels, But Hullabaloo Win
Tucson got a terrific performance from first baseman Mike Mannino, but it wasn't enough to beat the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo. Kalamazoo won the The Zoo contest, 10-9. Mannino was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Hullabaloo sit in first place in the United League Central Division with a record of 81-39.

Kalamazoo took a 9-8 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With one out, shortstop Mike Rowan hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Rowan.
