Honolulu rode a decent outing from starter Ryan LaVoie to victory over the Corpus Christi Kingfishers at Fallow Field. The final score was 5-2. The Kingfishers fall to 5-9 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2016 season.

Had Tom Kerber not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Kerber hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Waterspouts.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said LaVoie.
