Gomez Excels in Toledo Win
The Toledo Cheesepressers relied on the hitting of shortstop Xavier Gomez to stop the Little Rock Mighty Cocks, 7-2. For the game, Gomez went 3-4 with a triple and 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. With the victory, the Cheesepressers record now stands at 75-46.

Gomez had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Jamar Roy, he banged a 2-run double to right, giving the Cheesepressers a 4-2 lead. It was the 31st double of the year for Gomez.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Gomez.
