Loss Extends Des Moines Losing Streak
|
Getting an impressive start from Phil Ross, Kalamazoo beat Des Moines by the score of 3-2. The last-place Pharaohs have lost 6 consecutive games.
The Hullabaloo beat the Pharaohs in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out double Ed Duron produced in the bottom of the first. Batting against Des Moines pitcher Pat Mitchell, Duron gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run double.
"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Ross told the Kalamazoo Times.
