The Des Moines Pharaohs got a superb performance from center fielder Jim Eichelberger, but the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo still won the game, 5-4. Eichelberger was named the player of the game despite the loss. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times. Devon Pavese, credited with the save, is now 17 for 23 in save opportunities. After today's action, Kalamazoo sits at 66-57, while Des Moines falls to 71-52.

Kalamazoo took a 5-4 lead on Alvaro Verdusco's 24th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Des Moines pitcher Humberto Villanueva in the top of the eighth.
