Kalamazoo pitcher Steve Wood did his part in helping his team beat the Tallahassee Tyrants, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. With the win, Kalamazoo has a record of 62-62. Tallahassee falls to 56-68.

Scott Griffith made it 4-1 in favor of Kalamazoo when he delivered a bases-clearing double. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Hullabaloo went on to win.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Kalamazoo manager Jason Eberle.
