5 Straight Wins for Tempest
The New Haven Tempest racked up a win at Jersey Mike's Ironworks Park, bumping off the Atlantic City Leg Day, 4-2. Mike Church, who started for New Haven, pitched effectively for his team. Jason Balentine recorded the save for New Haven, his 31st of the season. The first-place Tempest have won 5 straight games.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the top of the fourth inning. That's when third baseman Caleb Zimmer, who is tied for 5th in the UL with a .425 on-base percentage, drew a walk. The Tempest went on to win.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Church told the New Haven News.
