Cheesepressers Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The Toledo Cheesepressers downed the Thunder Bay Corsairs, 8-4, in 10 innings. Nate McCleary led the way, going 2-for-5 for Toledo. Toledo is now 72-53, while Thunder Bay is 55-70.
The critical at-bat for Toledo came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out, Curt Nykanen hit a run-scoring single, putting Toledo up, 4-3.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Nykanen.
