Hullabaloo Win at Des Moines, 5-2
|
The Kalamazoo Hullabaloo beat the Des Moines Pharaohs, 5-2, at Tractor Supply Company Park. The Hullabaloo got a fine performance from shortstop Mike Rowan, who captured player of the game honors. He was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Art Bychyk picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Steve Porter was tagged with the loss. Devon Pavese was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Rowan hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Hullabaloo into the lead, 4-1.
"It feels good to get this one," Rowan told the Kalamazoo Times.
The Hullabaloo, now 2-0, have been playing some good baseball.
