Davis Helps Warlocks Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Wichita Warlocks stopped the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo, 11-2, at Propel Fitness Water Field. The Warlocks got a big game from Taylor Davis, who hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Blake Mott, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 4. His record now stands at 2-0. The Warlocks, now 10-3, have been on fire in the early going.
Shane Reich, who signed a 2-year contract worth $8,000,000 on 12/03/2016, aided the Wichita cause with a run-scoring triple in the bottom of the first. For the game, the shortstop was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Wichita manager Phil Romano.
