Cheesepressers Lose to Ice Sox, 4-3
|
Anchorage starter Steven Bond pitched effectively against the Toledo Cheesepressers at Velveeta Field. The right-hander led his team to a 4-3 win. Anchorage goes to 73-56. The win puts them 7 games up in their division.
In the top of the 6th, left fielder Adam Hanna gave Anchorage the lead when he hit a 2-run home run. The Ice Sox had been trailing 3-2, but the two-out home run off Toledo pitcher Jordan Morales changed that -- and Anchorage went on to win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Bond said after the game.
