The New Haven Tempest defeated the Atlantic City Leg Day, 8-1, at Jersey Mike's Ironworks Park. New Haven second baseman Marcus Butts was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The Tempest saw their win-loss record go to 72-57. At the same time, the Leg Day fell to 80-49.

Brett Jewett chipped in for New Haven, stroking a crucial double in the top of the fourth inning. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-5 with a triple and a double.

Butts called the triumph "a good team win."
