The Toledo Cheesepressers topped the El Paso Sweathogs, 12-4, in United League action at Velveeta Field. The player of the game was Toledo third baseman Jon Kilkenny. With the win over El Paso, the Cheesepressers improved to 83-48.

Had Bob Hauser not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Hauser hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Cheesepressers.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Hauser told the Toledo Observer.
