The Waterspouts had to overcome a fine performance from Reno pitcher Mark Koenig to grab a 3-2 win at Harris Interactive Arena. Koenig allowed 3 earned runs over 7.2 innings. The win was credited to Earl Harrow in relief. His record improves to 5-3. Mark Koenig took the loss. Reno's current losing streak is now 4 games.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd and two out in the top of the eighth inning. That's when left fielder Kevin Conger, who is rated as the 65th best prospect by BNN, drew a walk. The Waterspouts went on to win.
"It feels good to get this one," Conger told the Honolulu Citizen.
