Albuquerque Turkeys starter Danny Mickey was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Toledo Cheesepressers, 4-3. Mickey got the win, improving to 14-6. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Mickey allowed 2 earned runs. Randy Evans was credited with the save for Albuquerque, his 7th of the season.

Albuquerque took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases empty, Jim Kennedy stroked a solo home run to make it 4-3, Turkeys.

"If we play well, we'll win our share of games," said Kennedy. "The only team that can beat us is us."
