Saskatoon pitcher Tommy Uphoff did his part in helping his team beat the Honolulu Waterspouts, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Uphoff picked up the win for Saskatoon, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 17-9. David Edmonds got the save, his 3rd in 4 chances.

The Platoon got a lift from catcher Andrew Orr who had a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning off Ryan LaVoie. It was his 58th RBI of the season and put Saskatoon in front, 1-0.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Uphoff told the Saskatoon Chronicle.
