Pharaohs Stymie Honolulu, Take 3-1 Win
|
Fans who gathered at Tractor Supply Company Park saw a good contest between the Des Moines Pharaohs and Honolulu Waterspouts.
Des Moines Pharaohs starter Nate Taylor was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Honolulu Waterspouts, 3-1. Taylor picked up the win for Des Moines, going 7.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 9-9.
Adam Walker recorded a big out in the top of the ninth. Honolulu was trailing 3-1. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Walker retired Jared McLaughlin when McLaughlin struck out.
Des Moines now sits in last place in the United League Central Division at 52-87.
