Extra-Inning Win by Pharaohs over Waterspouts
Des Moines starter Steve Reinders put a stranglehold on the Honolulu offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Pharaohs to a 2-1 win. Des Moines reliever Dave Buritica picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Billy Ochoa was saddled with the loss. The first-place Pharaohs improved to 82-59.

The most important at-bat for Des Moines came in the top of the tenth inning, when first baseman Jon Rojas stroked a full count fastball to right-center for a run-scoring double, putting Des Moines up, 2-1.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rojas said.
