Kalamazoo Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
The Reno Graybirds got a good effort from starter Paul Baker in defeating the Kalamazoo Hullabaloo at Harris Interactive Arena. The final score was 3-0. In 7 innings, Baker surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. At 67-74, the Graybirds are currently third in the United League West Division.
With a runner on 1st and two out in the bottom of the third inning, third baseman Danny Whelan delivered big for the Graybirds. Reno was leading 1-0 when he belted a 2-run home run.
Baker attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
