Wildcats Jolt Tempest with Late Rally
New Haven third baseman Caleb Zimmer had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-4, to Savannah at Haggar Pants Park. Zimmer went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Jeremy Hoover picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-5. Victor Morales was tagged with the loss. The Wildcats sit in third place in the United League East Division with a record of 66-84.

George Church drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate for Savannah. The 11-year veteran had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 4-4 tie with a run-scoring walk off Victor Morales. It was his 33rd walk of the season.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Church.
