Des Moines center fielder Jim Eichelberger had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Toledo Cheesepressers, 5-3. Ron Boyles, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5.2 innings. The save was credited to Tom Caldwell, his 4th.

Early in the game, Eichelberger had a 2-run home run for Des Moines. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Pharaohs on top, 4-2.
