Running Rebels Get Road Win, 8-5
The Knoxville Running Rebels grabbed a 8-5 win over the New Haven Tempest at Hartford Courant Center. Knoxville designated hitter Matthew Uhler was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once to earn player of the game honors. John Tanksley picked up the win with 5 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 9 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. Uhler had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the fifth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Running Rebels went on to win.
