Cheesepressers Lose to Pharaohs, 7-4
|
The Des Moines Pharaohs trumped the Toledo Cheesepressers, 7-4, at Tractor Supply Company Park. Des Moines catcher Ryan Halsey was named player of the game for his performance. He was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. Losses have been few and far between for the Cheesepressers, who are now 11-4.
The Pharaohs got a big at-bat from shortstop Rich Rable. For the game, Rable went 1-4. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 11th hit of the season gave Des Moines a 2-1 lead.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Rable.
