The New Haven Tempest defeated the Bangor Devil Bears, 6-2, at Hartford Courant Center. New Haven shortstop Nick Bowen was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs. Ben Ramey got the win, improving to 2-0. He held the Devil Bears to 2 earned runs on 2 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 5. New Haven is now 13-2.
Jaden Cotton could have done more damage. In the top of the seventh, with Bangor trailing 6-1, Bangor had the bases loaded. That's when Cotton grounded out, driving in 1 run. But it was not enough. New Haven would go on to win the game.
