Waterspouts Stick Tempest with 6-1 Loss
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts picked up a win at Coconuts Park, knocking off the New Haven Tempest, 6-1. Starting pitcher John Barnhill played a key role in the triumph. Barnhill picked up the win for Honolulu, going 8 innings. He gave up 1 run on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. The win brings the Waterspouts to 6-9, a soft start for a team that made the playoffs just last season.
Early in the game, left fielder Elijah Palmer had a 2-run home run for Honolulu. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Waterspouts on top, 3-1.
"Today was a lot of fun," said Palmer.
