Red Lobster Arena was the site for United League action featuring the Bangor Devil Bears and New Haven Tempest.

The New Haven Tempest bested the Bangor Devil Bears, 10-1, at Red Lobster Arena. Will Mackowski was named player of the game. He went 4 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Philip Lundholm got the win, improving to 14-7. He held the Devil Bears to 1 earned run on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 1.

Colorado Springs, Colorado-born Marcus Butts came through in the clutch. In the top of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd and the Tempest trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run double to right to put New Haven on top.

"Anything I can do to help the team win," said Mackowski.

The first-place Tempest have their sights set on making a deep playoff run.
