Jones Helps Running Rebels Beat Tempest
The Knoxville Running Rebels beat the New Haven Tempest, 11-5, at Hartford Courant Center. The Running Rebels got a fine performance from catcher Ken Jones, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 4 runs. Knoxville currently is in third place in the United League East Division at 68-91.

Jones had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Running Rebels went on to win.

"It feels good to get this one," Jones told the Knoxville Bulletin.
