Idahosies Pin 3-2 Loss on Waterspouts
|
The Idahosies had to overcome a fine effort from Honolulu pitcher Ryan Grosso to grab a narrow 3-2 win at Coconuts Park. Grosso went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Shane Slevin recorded the save for Boise, his 13th of the season. Boise bumps their record to 61-100 with the win.
Boise designated hitter Joe Hensley helped the Idahosies go up, 3-0, in the top of the third inning. With the game tied, Hensley hit a 3-run home run off Honolulu pitcher Ryan Grosso.
"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Hensley said in reaction to the win.
